Amplified Nether is a project that aims to make the Nether 256 blocks tall while also bringing in the "Amplified" feel. Released December 3rd of 2021, his pack uses the 1.18 features to create brand-new terrain in the Nether - with 3D biomes and tons of new terrain types, although it is available for 1.17 and 1.16, but a lot less reliable, good-looking, and without the 3D biomes.
It also brings back the Nether mountains from the original Nether Update trailer. Many players saw these and were upset that they weren't in the game - we've added them for you to enjoy!
3D biomes are used extensively as well - you might find a different biome at the base of a mountain than at the top, and you'll find much more biome variation in normal Nether terrain. Biome borders that were previously impossible are now commonplace - any biome can border any other biome!
Compatibilities[edit]
Amplified Nether is compatible with all Stardust Labs projects, except Incendium on any available versions. Amplified Nether cannot work with Incendium since they both modify the same major WorldGen features, this includes extended Nether roof, 3D biomes and terrain shaping.
Being a project that only modifies the Vanilla Nether terrain, most Mods or Datapacks who do not affect it too should work alongside Amplified Nether. WolrdGen plugins aren't and will not be supported.
