The Ghastling egg is a spawn egg which, upon use, will spawn a Ghastling. The Ghastling can be fed by right-clicking it with fire charges, which makes it follow the player around. Feeding the Ghastling also grants the Feed The Beast advancement.
The Ghastling's purpose is to protect the player from Ghasts. If a Ghast fireball comes close to the Ghastling, the Ghastling will zap the fireball.

The Ghastling egg is obtained by killing a Ghast that has speed, regeneration, and invisibility.

Destroys ghast fireballs that it can see.
